A explosion in Peshawar's Police Lines area left at least 150 people injured and 28 dead, according to authorities.

Riaz Mehsood, the commissioner of Peshawar, confirmed the deaths and said that a rescue operation was taking place inside the mosque because several people were buried beneath the rubble.

The senior official stated,



"An emergency has been imposed at hospitals across the city, and injured persons are being provided the best medical facilities."

According to Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Ijaz Khan, the blast resulted in the mosque's roof collapsing. Rescue workers are attempting to free a number of jawans who are still trapped beneath the rubble.
