30 dead after consuming toxic alcohol in Turkiye

In Türkiye, 30 people so far died and 49 others remain hospitalised in a hooch tragedy. The dead include foreign nationals also. In response, the Istanbul Governor’s Office announced raids at multiple sites, detaining six suspects linked to large-scale toxic alcohol distribution. Two were charged with intentional



homicide, while legal proceedings continue for the others. 

The Turkish government also tightened regulations on alcohol storage , requiring official approval for storage facilities and banning shared or improperly located warehouses.
