Thirty-two people were injured when two buses collided here, Abu Dhabi Police said on Monday.
The accident occured at the intersection of Pepsi Cola in Abu Dhabi. Jumping the red light was said to be the cause of the accident.
Brigadier Khalifa Mohammad Al Khaili, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said the police received a call at 4.30pm on Sunday about the
collision between two vehicles.
Police patrols and ambulances were immediately sent to the scene.
Al Khaili said the injured were transferred to Khalifa Hospital and Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi. All were discharged from the hospital except one who is receiving treatment.
The police called on motorists to abide by the rules of the road to protect themselves and other commuters.
