In China, 33 miners were killed in an explosion in a coal mine in the central region of Chongqing. BBC, quoting local media, reported that search and rescue works were ended as bodies of all people, who were in the mine at the moment of the blast on Monday, have been found.
A total of 35 miners were
working underground at the privately-owned Jinshangou Coal Mine in Laisu Town, Yongchuan District, when an explosion shook the mine. Only two miners managed to leave the mine. The cause of the explosion is not clear, but such incidents are usually caused by a spark igniting gas released from the earth.
