The death toll from flash floods and landslides in Central Java province of western Indonesia has risen to 35. Flooding and landslides had left 25 people missing with 14 others injured. Disaster agency spokesman said, search for the missing and evacuation of the affected people is still going on.
Heavy downpours have triggered landslides and rivers overflowed their banks submerging 16 districts and a city in the province. Landslides have also blocked roads that hampered the access to the disaster-affected-areas.Govt expects 8% GDP growth this fiscal amid above normal monsoon.
