An earthquake
measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted Japan's Tottori prefecture on Friday,
weather officials said.
The Japan
Meteorological Agency said the temblor was centred in the central part of
prefecture, with
the epicentre recorded at a latitude of 35.4 degrees north and
a longitude of 133.9 degrees east and at depth of 10 km, Xinhua news agency
reported.
There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties.
