At least eight people have been killed and 59 injured in Lebanon capital Beirut after air strike carried out by Israel forces. Several news outlets reported that a top Hezbollah commander, Ibrahim Aqil, has been killed in the strike. It comes amid the latest cross-border exchange of fire, with Hezbollah launching more than 100 rockets into Israel today.
The strikes came hours after Hezbollah’s chief, Hassan Nasrallah, threatened tough retaliation for the
back-to-back attacks that targeted the militant group’s communication infrastructure with explosives hidden in communication devices.
Meanwhile, In another development, a senior commander of Iraq’s Hezbollah Brigades Abu Haidar was killed in a drone strike near Damascus International Airport today.The attack targeted the commander’s vehicle on a road adjacent to the airport in the Sayyida Zeinab area.
