In Nigeria, at least nine people have been killed by suicide bombers in a series of attacks in northeastern part of the country.
Borno state police commissioner Damian Chukwu said today that most of the attackers were teenage girls who were heavily wired with deadly explosives.The bombings occurred at the University of
Maiduguri and in the Jere area of the city. The attacks came amid high alert as Muslims marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan with Eid celebrations.
Boko Haram, which is linked to the Islamic State group, is known for abducting girls and later using them to carry out attacks on civilians.
