The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said today, it has provided 5 million dollars in disaster financing for emergency relief efforts in Vanuatu’s capital Port Vila, following a 7.3-magnitude earthquake.
The situation in Vanuatu remained concerning after a 7.3-magnitude
earthquake struck Port Vila on 17th of this month. At least 14 people were confirmed dead, with more than 200 injured. Earlier, the government of Vanuatu had requested international assistance. Vanuatu is a South Pacific Ocean nation made up of roughly 80 islands.
