US President Joe Biden has said that America will continue to supply Ukraine with critical weapons and equipment as long as they can. Speaking during a joint news conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington DC, President Biden said that Ukraine has taken back 50 percent of the territories seized by Russia. He said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is counting on the US to fail to provide support to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian President outlined his country's goals going into 2024 during his remarks from the White
House. He met with US leaders in Washington DC to try and save a 61 billion US defence package for Kyiv. Mr Zelensky’s visit comes at a critical moment in congressional negotiations for emergency aid to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russia has said that any additional US aid to Ukraine will be a fiasco. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, the tens of billions of dollars pumped into Ukraine did not help it gain success on the battlefield and the new aid is also headed for the same fiasco.
