JEDDAH: More than 200 motorcyclists will cruise Riyadh Friday in a parade calling for tolerance and countering terrorism, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) told Arab News.
“The parade will start from Al-Diriyah… and end at the stadium of Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, where a car race will kick off,” a GEA source said.
The event will include bikers from Harley Owners Group (HOG) in Jeddah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
“We were approached by the GEA to take part in this parade,” Jamil Ayas, Jeddah’s Harley
Davidson manager, told Arab News.
“I’m honored to be part of the event and I’m fully supportive of it. I think the whole world should support such event.”
Some 50 bikers will be coming from Jeddah while more will be coming from the Eastern Province and Riyadh.
Ayas said the HOG Jeddah chapter gets approached to participate in public and charity events. “We previously participated in health-related events and functions for special needs.”
Friday’s motorbike parade will take place from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
