Kunduz: At least 100 people were killed and scored injured in a bomb attack on a Shiite mosque in Afghanistan's Kunduz city on Friday. A suicide bomber detonated an explosive vest as worshippers gathered inside the mosque for Friday prayers. The latest attack comes days after a dozen people were killed in a mosque attack in Kabul. Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K)
group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Taliban have confirmed the deadly attack but did not confirm the number of casualties.
Shiites make up roughly 20 percent of the Afghan population. Many of them are Hazara, an ethnic group that has been heavily persecuted in Afghanistan.
