The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini has said that at least 57 workers of the agency have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the war began.
Earlier on Tuesday, addressing an open discussion on the situation in the Middle East at the UN Security Council, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed
his condolences on the death of UNRWA employees in Israeli air strikes in Gaza.
According to the latest reports, in Israel, more than 1,400 people have been killed in the attack, with over 5,200 others being injured. Over 7,000 Palestinians have lost their lives and almost 18,500 people have been wounded in Israeli strikes on Gaza.
