In Ukraine, at least nine people have been killed and 10 others injured in Russian shelling on the southern city of Kherson.
Head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that hundreds of shells were fired at the city and the surrounding area last night.
On
the other hand, the Ukrainian armed forces claimed that they had carried out successful actions on the east bank of the Dnipro River.
The river has been the de facto front line in southern Ukraine since Russian forces withdrew from the Kherson region last November.
