In China, a video footage of several women being attacked by a group of men for opposing sexual assault in northern city of Tangshan in Hebei province has triggered national outrage. It has sparked debate on sexual harassment and misogyny in Chinese society with millions of angry citizens demanding justice.
Police in Tangshan city said they had arrested nine people on suspicion of violent assault and
provoking trouble.
The incident received widespread indignation and condemnation for its sheer brazenness.
