Bahrain's Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry had awarded a total of 34 projects worth more than BD148 million ($390 million) during the first four months in the sectors of roads, sanitation and construction.
Also bids were invited for 41 other projects worth BD52 million ($137 million) during the first quarter, said senior ministry officials during the weekly Cabinet meeting, chaired by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin
Salman Al Khalifa yesterday (May 14).
These projects are part of efforts to provide high-quality infrastructure and meet Bahrain’s current and future needs, they stated.
During the meeting, the Premier directed the Housing Ministry to fast-track the residential project in Hidd region of the kingdom.
He also called upon officials to complete services and facilities in time and distribute units to beneficiaries without delay.
