Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa lauded the “strategic” role played by Saudi Arabia in defending Arab issues and interests.
The Premier stressed that Bahrain stands ‘heart and soul’ with Saudi Arabia, and also highlighted the long-standing fraternal relations between the two Kingdoms.
HRH the Prime Minister expressed deep pride in the historical and leading role played by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to strengthen and develop the joint the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) action for the best interests of the people, and to serve Arab and Islamic causes.
Prince Khalifa made the remarks while receiving the Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, on the sidelines of the Second Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit being held in Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday.
He also praised the role played by the Saudi Foreign Minister at various international gatherings.
The Premier affirmed that the GCC countries have no expansionist ambitions, but only seek to safeguard themselves from potential harms.
