Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina thanks PM Modi for evacuating its nationals from Ukraine

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government of India for the help in evacuating Bangladeshi nationals from Ukraine. 

In a letter to Prime Minister Modi, Sheikh Hasina expressed her thanks for India’s assistance in rescuing and evacuating some Bangladeshi nationals along with Indians who were stranded in Sumy Oblast, Ukraine.

Recalling Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Bangladesh last year during the



celebration of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina said that the bilateral ties between the two countries have been further consolidated through meaningful engagements at all levels over the past years.

She expressed confidence that both Bangladesh and India will continue to stand by each other all the time and work together to realise the collective aspirations of the people of the two countries.
