Bill introduced in US House to end non-defence aid to Pakistan

A bill was has been introduced in the US House of Representatives to end non-defence aid to Pakistan as Islamabad provides military aid and intelligence to terrorists. The bill seeks that the amount is redirected to infrastructure projects in the US.

Introduced by Congressmen Mark Sanford from South Carolina and Thomas Massie from Kentucky last night, the legislation will prohibit



the US State Department and the United States Agency for International Development from sending American taxpayer money to Pakistan. 

The lawmakers alleged that Pakistan knowingly provides resources to terrorists.Post 9/11 attack, the US has provided nearly 34 billion US dollars in aid to Pakistan, including 526 million US dollars last year alone.
