The body of a Malayali student, Sandra Elizabeth Saju, who went missing earlier this month in Edinburgh of the United Kingdom, was found on Friday morning.
According to the local police, the body was found in the water near Newbridge.
Sandra, 22, a student at Heriot-Watt University, gone missing from the Gyle area of Edinburgh on December 6. She was last seen outside a store in Burnvale, Livingston, where she had been working. Police had released CCTV footage of her last known sighting.

Perumbavoor in Ernakulam, Kerala, and moved to the UK’s Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh last year to pursue her studies.
According to reports, her family had described her disappearance as “very out of character,” prompting widespread appeals by the police and her loved ones to locate her.
A major search operation was on to trace her, culminating in the discovery of the body on Friday. Further investigation is on to ascertain the circumstances behind her death.
