A TSUNAMI warning has been issued after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck Central America as a hurricane barrelled through the region.
The US Pacific Warning Center said hazardous tsunami waves are possible within 300km of the quake epicentre in El
Salvador.
The warning came just minutes after the 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 20miles, about 96miles south-southwest of Puerto Triunfo in el Salvador, according to the US Geological Survey.
Hurricane Otto has been coming through Central America this afternoon as well.
