BRICS countries have agreed to continue supporting the World Health Organization in playing a leading role, and to strengthen BRICS countries' cooperation in bio-safety governance and vaccine research and development.
The 10th meeting of National Security Advisors of BRICS countries was held on Thursday via video link. Member nations exchanged views on wide ranging issues including bio-safety, anti-terrorism and cyber security. India was represented by
NSA Ajit Doval. The meeting is significant in the wake of cooperation to tackle COVID pandemic and in run up to SCO Summit, BRICS Summit and SCO Heads of Govt meet in coming months.
Analysts say, it’s high time China walks the talk by working sincerely to resolve the current stand off with India. It is more imperative as global community looks for multilateralism on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
