Ceasefire announced in East Ghouta region of Damascus

BEIRUT:A ceasefire between Faylaq Al-Rahman and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the eastern suburbs of Damascus was announced thursday night after lengthy negotiations.

The ceasefire will include the entire East Ghouta region and some areas just

outside the capital, a source told Al-Masdar News.

According to the source in Damascus, the ceasefire is open-ended and will not include the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham terrorist group.

The ceasefire is effective at midnight.
