Chilean President backs multilateralism, supports India’s UNSC Bid

The president of Chile, Gabriel Boric Font, stressed today that multilateralism is the key and the path ahead for the world. Delivering the 53rd Sapru House Lecture on Chile and India- Side by Side in the Global South, President Font said Chile wants to expand its partnership with India as there is huge scope for bilateral cooperation. He said India is a priority



of Chile’s foreign policy. 

The President of Chile pointed out that India’s leadership in technology is relevant for the development of Chile. He said Chile has always called for UN reforms and expressed support for India’s permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
