The Government of Dubai on Thursday implemented a series of precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees and protect them from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
A smart employee application will be implemented for all Dubai government employees to replace the fingerprint system to record attendance, according to a new circular issued under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
The move is part of a series of precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees and protect them from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
The government has also decided to postpone activities and gatherings of employees and events that include large numbers of employees or visitors.
The procedures also included applying more flexible working hours or working remotely with mothers who are female employees whose children will be enrolled in distance education to continue their studies for students from the ninth grade or less.
This is in addition to
providing work form home facility for pregnant women, people of determination and employees with sickness.

* Implementation of a system that allows employees to work remotely
* Allowing remote work for pregnant women, elderly and people of determination
* Flexible hours and remote work for mother with children in the 9th grade and younger
* Encourage virtual meetings thought digital platforms
* Avoiding employee business trips, unless necessary
* Spreading awareness for employees and client through internal com munition
* Provide methods of disinfection and sanitisation for employees and customers
* Sterilisation of officers, facilities and areas with customers and clients
*Urging clients to use smart application in carrying out transaction
* Additional measures to ensure the safety of field personnel and customer service staff
* Postponing events and large gatherings
