In the Czech Republic, local police have safely detonated a World War 2 bomb in a petrochemical plant, days after finding it on the premises of the Orlen Unipetrol refinery near Litvinov in Most District. Police in a social media post on X said, the bomb was detonated yesterday and no
major damage was reported.
The 250-kg bomb was uncovered on 21st August during excavation work in a remote area of the Orlen Unipetrol plant. Most District has a history of unexploded munitions from World War 2.
