In China, death toll has risen to 14 in a rain-triggered flash flood in the southwest Sichuan Province. Last evening, the local authorities said, 14 bodies have been recovered, while 25 people are still missing. Rescue personnel continue to search the missing, aided by drones, sniffer dogs and life detector

equipment.

The disaster occurred in the wee hours on Saturday, when heavy rain led to the flash flooding of a local river. Over 40 houses were seriously damaged in Xinhua Village, which is located in Ya’an City’s Hanyuan County.
