Dubai government has announced a complete lockdown in the tourist and trade district of Al Raas. Famous for its gold, spice and perfume markets, surrounding the Dubai creek area have been put under complete lockdown for two weeks. Night time curfew is in place across UAE till the 5th of this month.
The total number of
COVID-19 cases in the UAE has risen to 664. In the Gulf region, around 4000 cases have already been recorded with Iran remaining the nerve centre. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has advised Muslim pilgrims to wait for more clarity about the pandemic before planning for the annual haj pilgrimage, which begins in late July.
