Cairo, Nov 8 (Prensa Latina) An management court in Cairo dismissed today the Egyptian government''s decision to return two Red Sea islands to Saudi Arabia, by rejecting an official appeal on this issue by the Executive.

The court indicated that the Government must abide a previous ruling stating

that the islands of Tiran and Sanafir, granted by Saudi Arabia in the mid-20th century to Cairo for their management and protection, should remain under Egyptian sovereignty.

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Magdi El Agati said in this regard that this ruling does not nullifies the Government agreement, signed between Egypt and Saudi Arabia on April 8th during King Salman's visit to Egypt.

'Today's ruling was taken on the basis of technical terms', said El Agati.

'The final decision on the maritime boundary agreement between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is in the hands of the Parliament', said El Agati.
