The European Union Commission has recommended to ease restrictions on non-essential travel from overseas for those who received the last dose of an EU-approved vaccine.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted that it was time to revive EU tourism industry and for cross-border friendships to rekindle

safely.

The EU currently only allows non-essential travel from seven countries. Discussions on the plans will begin today.
