The extradition trial of fugitive business man Vijay Mallya has been listed for a judgment hand-down before the Westminster Magistrates' Court in London today.
The 62-year-old is wanted in India on alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to an estimated 9,000 crore rupees. He has been on bail since his arrest on an extradition warrant in April last
year.
If the ruling of Judge Emma Arbuthnot goes ahead as scheduled today, it would mark a significant point in this high-profile extradition trial that has lasted over a year.
The trial opened at the court in December last year and has gone through a series of hearings beyond the initial seven days earmarked for it.
