Extremely critical fire weather conditions have emerged in California after a large wildfire grew to over 10.9 square kilometres of area. The fire which started from the Malibu Creek State Park in Los Angeles County, has caused large-scale evacuations and closure of a segment of the Pacific Coast
Highway.
Investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. Meanwhile, all schools in Malibu are closed until further notice, while Pepperdine University cancelled the classes and issued a shelter-in-place order.
