In Brazil, at least 21 people died due to fierce storm that caused floods in several cities. Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite said, the death toll is the state’s highest due to such calamities. Around 60 cities were badly affected by the storm, which was classified as an extra-tropical
cyclone.
It is said that 15 of the deaths occurred in one house in Mucum, which is a city housing about 50,000 residents. According to the The Rio Grande do Sul state government, 1,650 people have been rendered homeless.
