Officials say five people have been killed in two shootings in northeastern Georgia. Columbia County Coroner Vernon Collins says three people were shot on Friday night at one location in Appling, two of whom died at the scene; the third died at the hospital. He says two
other people were shot dead at another location about a km away.
County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Andy Shedd tells The Augusta Chronicle that police believe this is the work of one gunman and stems from a domestic dispute. He says they are still seeking a suspect.
