Heavy rains to lash Telangana for 24 hours

After a heavy rain on Saddhula Bathukamma celebrations,lashing several parts of the State on Thursday. There is a Warning issue for the state from IMD said“Thunderstorm associated with heavy rain very likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana.”

Officials attribute the torrential rainfall to a cyclonic circulation which is seen over west



central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh Coast and adjoining South Odisha.

According to meteorologists from private weather forecasting units like Skymet Weather, this circulation would gradually shift eastwards. Until that time thundershowers will continue over the region for another 48 hours, which will increase the humidity levels and result in a drop in day temperatures.
