A newly-wed couple would have lost their iPhone containing hundreds of memorable moments of their honeymoon trip to Dubai, if not for the help of Dubai Police.
The Indian couple - Manmeet Singh and wife Amardeep Kaur Syan - received their cellphone within 20 minutes after they shared their ordeal with the Dubai Police.
A Mumbai-based singer, Manmeet arrived in Dubai with his wife on April 23 for a two-day trip. Speaking to Khaleej Times from Mumbai, Manmeet Singh said: "I had put my iPhone for charging in the taxi. We left the phone in the back seat and forgot about it."
The couple realised it after reaching Terminal 1

at Dubai International airport. Manmeet approached a Dubai Police officer, Ammar Alsaadi, and shared details of his cab ride. With just 1.5 hours left to his flight, he informed the police about the time he boarded the cab, the fare he paid and other relevant details.
Alsaadi and his team quickly alerted the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and got in touch with the cab driver, who promptly delivered the phone back to the airport.
Manmeet can't thank the Dubai Police enough. "Officer Ammar Alsaadi was of great help. Had it not been for the timely help of the police, we would have surely missed our flight," Manmeet said.
