India a step closer to Extradition of industrialist Vijay Mallya

Government has moved a step closer in getting industrialist Vijay Mallya extradited from Britain. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay told reporters in New Delhi that India's request for Mallya's extradition has been certified by the UK government.

The



spokesman also said, the government has asked the US to provide details of the 271 illegal immigrants it wants New Delhi to take back. He said, US authorities had conveyed to India sometime back that out of certain statistics provided by them earlier, 271 cases remained to be addressed.
