Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma and Mrs. Manu Verma hosts dinner for Indian Women Cricket Team in Dhaka

Dhaka: Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma and Mrs. Manu Verma hosts a dinner in the honour of the Indian Women Cricket Team at India House, Dhaka.

The team is visiting Bangladesh for Twenty-Twenty Internationals (T20s) and One Day Internationals (ODIs) Series.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team won the three-match T20I series by 2-1.

In the ODIs series, yesterday the team India won a crucial match against host Bangladesh and leveled the series by 1-1.While the decisive third and final ODI will be played on 22nd July at Shere Bangla



Stadium Mirpur, Dhaka.

Speaking on the occasion, the High Commissioner appreciated the team’s performance and called the women in Blue an inspiration for all young girls and women in India.

He also thanked Bangladesh Cricket Board for hosting Indian Women’s Cricket Team and also the Indian community in Bangladesh for supporting the team.

On behalf of the entire team and the management Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and coach Nooshin Al Khadeer thanked the High Commissioner for his support and hospitality.
