In Iraq, at least thirteen people have been killed and 58 wounded in Kurdistan Region in a missile and armed drones attacks by Iran. Iraq's state news agency said, thirteen people were killed and 58 wounded in the attacks near Erbil and Sulaimaniya regions.
According to local media, a pregnant woman was reportedly among those killed in the strikes.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards have confirmed that they
fired missiles and drones at militant targets in the Kurdish region of neighbouring northern Iraq. The strikes were reported after Iranian authorities accused armed Iranian Kurdish dissidents of involvement in unrest now shaking Iran.
According to media reports, between 25 and 35 million Kurds inhabit a mountainous region straddling the borders of Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Iran and Armenia.
