Israel said it signed a defence deal worth 400 million dollars with Greece to sell Spike anti-tank missiles on Monday. Israel's defence minister said the agreement reinforces ties between the countries.
The Spike is a guided anti-tank missile used by many European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, countries.
Israel's
state-owned defence contractor Rafael produces these missiles. Rafael CEO Yoav Har-Even said that the Spike missiles will strengthen the Greek army's portfolio.
Israel's deal with Greece comes days after reaching a similar-sized deal to provide air defence system David's Sling to Finland. Finland has recently joined NATO.
