Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has made an official trip to neighbouring Egypt for the first time in a decade. Mr. Bennett yesterday met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. They discussed bilateral relations, reviving the Israel-Palestinian peace process and other regional and international developments.

According to the statement, the Egyptian



President stressed his support for all efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution.

Mr. Bennett described his talks with President al-Sisi as very important and very good. He said, the long-standing relationship between Egypt and Israel was a foundation for Israel’s recent accords with other Arab nations.
