Israeli special forces have captured a senior Hezbollah operative during an amphibious raid in northern Lebanon.
Members of Israel’s elite Shayetet 13 conducted the operation in Batroun, approximately 30 kilometers north of Beirut. The operative, identified by Israeli sources as Imad Amhaz, who allegedly oversees Hezbollah’s naval operations, was successfully transported back to Israeli territory.
Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed that
the captured operative is currently being interrogated by their military intelligence unit. Operating from the Atlit naval base on Israel’s northern Mediterranean coast, Shayetet 13 is known for conducting strategic sabotage missions behind enemy lines during wartime.
