A 48-year-old Jordanian national based in Dubai on Tuesday became richer by $1 million after he won the raffle at Dubai Duty Free.

Nidal Marwan Taha, who won on ticket number 4999 in series 287, had bought three tickets.

"Just like shopping at Dubai Duty Free I never miss a chance to participate in the Millennium Millionaire whenever I travel. I always had a gut feeling that I would win one day and I am thrilled that finally my perseverance has paid off, so, keep it going Dubai Duty Free," said Taha, a Dubai resident for 28 years.

Taha is the ninth Jordanian national to win in the



promotion since its inception in 1999.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, two Indian winners were announced in the Finest Surprise promotion, each winning a luxury vehicle.

Daphney Monsurate, a 58-year-old Indian national from Dubai, won a BMW 760Li xDrive (Aventurine Red) in series 1703 with ticket number 0445. Monsurate, a retired teacher in Dubai, had bought her winning ticket on her way to Bangalore for a holiday.

Kaushik Thadeshwar, a 44-year-Indian national based in Mumbai, won an Indian Scout motorbike (Burgundy) in series 352 with ticket number 0386 he bought online.
