Juan Guaido appeals to his countrymen to take streets for biggest march in history

Opposition leader of Venezuela, Juan Guaido appealed to his countrymen to take to the streets at the weekend for the biggest march in the history  , in a bid to rachet up pressure on embattled President Nicolas Maduro to call early elections.

Mr Guaido  in a letter , to the presidents of Mexico and Uruguay,  said, he would only enter into negotiations if they serve to start the transition process, culminating in the holding of free elections. President of Mexico and Uruguay have jointly called a conference in Montevideo next Thursday for neutral countries to discuss the crisis.
   
Meanwhile, the US Vice President Mike Pence warned at a rally of Venezuelan exiles in Miami, that it is time to take action to end the socialist regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Reacting on the latest development in Venezuela, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said, it is important to avoid tension but insisted that the nation's best interests could only be guaranteed in a new presidential vote.
