Kabul Process Conference, which is aimed at discussing security and political issues in Afghanistan, will be held on Wednesday.
Nearly 23 countries including Pakistan are participating in the day long event. Foreign Secretary Vijay K Gokhale will represent India at the conference.International bodies like the European Union, United Nations and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) are also scheduled to converge into the Afghan capital to attend the
conference.
The meeting aims to secure support for an agreement to end backing of cross-border terrorism and to find a peaceful solution in ending the decades-long insurgency in Afghanistan.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said said that his government will table an inclusive proposal to Pakistan and the Taliban during the conference.
Kabul, in recent times, has accused Islamabad of supporting cross-border terrorism and harbouring the Taliban.
