Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman underwent a colonoscopy at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah on Sunday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The results were fine and the king has been advised by doctors to stay in hospital for some time to rest.
Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and crown prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa sent cables to King Salman congratulating him following the colonoscopy.
UAE’s president Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, vice president Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and crown prince of
Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent cables congratulating the Saudi monarch, SPA reported on Sunday.
Qatar’s Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, deputy Amir Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and prime minister Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani also sent similar cables.
The leaders wished king Salman constant good health and the Kingdom and its people further progress, prosperity, safety, and security.
The king was admitted to the hospital in Jeddah on Saturday evening.
