Riyadh: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is prepared to receive two million Muslim pilgrims for the Haj this year.
During an official visit to Algeria on Tuesday, the Minister of Haj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, made the announcement that Algeria would receive 41,300 pilgrimage spots.
Al-Rabiah mentioned services for pilgrims, including a
high-speed rail service between the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah and projects worth 200 billion Saudi Riyals designed to keep up with the anticipated rise in pilgrim numbers.
He stated, "The Ministry and all parties involved in the Haj and Umrah system are keen to provide all pilgrims with the best health and logistical services in a way that saves time and effort."
