LAHORE: Prominent religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel who had been hospitalised after complaining of chest pain, successfully underwent angioplasty on Tuesday night.
According to the doctors, a stent has been inserted into the religious scholar’s clogged artery to clear the blockage. The stent will hold the artery open and allow
a free flow of blood.
Further, the doctors have advised Maulana Jameel complete rest.
A day earlier, the maulana was admitted to a hospital after complaining of chest pain. He was then shifted to a private hospital in Lahore's Johar Town after suffering from angina.
