Six people, including the local mayor, have been killed by Israeli air strikes on the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh today. Israel’s army also struck surrounding areas, including Zebdine and Kfar Tebnit. The Israeli military said it had struck dozens of targets in the Nabatiyeh area and dismantled underground infrastructure. This comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the idea of a
cease-fire in Lebanon.
In a related development, Hezbollah said it fired a barrage of rockets towards Karmiel in northern Israel. The Israeli military reported that it detected 30 projectiles crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Israel’s emergency services said two people were hit by shrapnel in the Upper Galilee region.
