Riyadh: Over 2.5 million worshippers gathered at the Grand Mosque for Isha and Taraweeh prayers on the 29th night of Ramadan, participating in completing Qur’an recitation, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Since early morning the Grand Mosque has been filled to capacity, with Umrah performers continuously arriving in Makkah throughout the day.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, imam of Makkah’s Grand Mosque and head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, led the prayers, seeking forgiveness and salvation for all Muslims.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque arranged transportation, oversaw



cleaning and disinfection, and directed Umrah performers and worshippers to assigned prayer areas, ensuring visitor comfort.

In Madinah, the Prophet’s Mosque also witnessed the completion of Qur’an recitation during Taraweeh prayers amid an atmosphere of peace and security.

The imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, led the worshippers and prayed for the forgiveness of Muslims.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, in coordination with other relevant agencies, implemented all necessary arrangements to maintain the safety and comfort of visitors.
